Jumbangla Desk: Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, 'There is no single mastermind of the fascism liberation movement. People of the country joined the movement. The leadership of the movement is due to the youth . In exchange for whose lives we were freed from oppression. Jamaat does not consider those brave martyrs as party. They are national heroes.'
Commenting that Jamaat is working to build a united Bangladesh, he added, 'We want a united Bangladesh. I don't want the country to be divided into any minority or majority.'
He said these things while addressing the chief guest at Bogra city and district branch members (RUCON) conference on Saturday (October 26) morning.
Dr. Ameer Jamaat. Shafiqur Rahman said, 'I want to work for the country and the people of the country by making use of the victory gained in exchange of thousands of martyrs in the movement of students and people on August 5. For this we have to present ourselves as honest and worthy in front of our nation. The nation wants a just society.
Jamaat should come forward to build that society. We should seek Allah's help so that we can fulfill the expectations of the nation.'
Amir Jamaat said, 'We could not sit in the party office for the past 13 and a half years due to Awami oppression. I could not stay in my house. Could not do business and work.
Couldn't get proper information about the family, couldn't even see their faces when parents, relatives died. Today we can hold a big gathering because Allah has showered His mercy on us. Therefore, this time should be used to convey the invitation of religion to everyone.'
Under the chairmanship of Amir Principal Abidur Rahman Sohail of Bogra city branch and under the direction of Secretary Professor Asam Abdul Malek, Central Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Central Executive Council Member Principal Shahabuddin, Central Vice President of Labor Welfare Federation Golam Rabbani, Bogra Region Team Member Maulana gave speeches as special guests. Amir Jamaat said, "Sheikh Hasina's government killed the top leaders of Jamaat in the name of justice. The central office of Jamaat was closed all over the country. For 13 and a half years we could not sit in our office and do any work. Our registration and badges were forcibly taken away. Disoriented by the movement of the students of 24, Jamaat-Shibir was finally banned. But Sheikh Hasina not only left the power, she was forced to flee the country due to the fear of student movement.'
Amir Jamaat said, "Jamaat-e-Islami will stand by all the martyrs and injured as much as possible. He directed the local leaders to stand by the injured in the movement in Bogra.
Earlier, elected Bogra City Amir Principal Abidur Rahman Sohail and District Amir Maulana Abdul Haque administered the oath to the government for the term 2025-26. More than 4000 men and women participated in the conference.
Jamaat held a public rally in this playground after a long time of two centuries. After the 2001 national elections, the election rally of Golam Rabbani, the Jamaat-nominated candidate for the Bogra-6 (Sadar) seat vacated by Begum Khaleda Zia, was held in this field.
