Jumbangla Desk: A dinner was organized at Dhaka College on Saturday night to celebrate the ban on Bangladesh Chhatra League. A cow and a cow were slaughtered in the campus after yesterday evening. More than 1000 students attended the banquet in the college hall after 10 pm. The general students of the college organized this feast.
Those concerned said that the price of the cow bought for the feast is 95 thousand taka and the price of the goat is 12 thousand taka. Tokens have been sold to students at Tk 100 per person.
The students said that the decision to ban the Chhatra League was organized. Students were held hostage by the BCL when they were on campus. Clashes continued in the campus. Now there is no Chhatra League in the campus, everyone can express his opinion freely. There is no chaos in the campus. That's why this arrangement.
Rajab Ali, a student of Dhaka College, said that Chhatra League has been banned. This is the happy news. They did a lot of torture on common students. We ordinary students are happy and organized this. More than 1000 students participated in this dinner.
Moinul Islam, one of the organizers of Anand Bhoj and coordinator of Dhaka College branch of anti-discrimination student movement, said that in the last 15 years, Adu brothers of Chhatra League occupied our halls. Various doors were open for their torture in the name of guest room, common room. Recently they have been banned as a terrorist organization. Apart from that, I got a new environment after the student revolution. Seats have been given to students through fair process. Today's feast is organized with students in this joy.
Earlier on Wednesday night, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification banning the Awami League's student organization Chhatra League. The notification referred to the Chhatra League as a terrorist organisation.
