Jumbangla Desk: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Moinul Islam said that if the banned student organization Chhatra League marches, they will be arrested immediately.

He said this in an event at Rangpur District Police Lines School and College grounds on Saturday (October 26) afternoon.
The IGP said that a notification has been issued banning the Chhatra League. From now on this organization is completely banned. If anyone ever marches for BCL or if BCL marches they will be arrested immediately.
He said that the leaders and activists of Chhatra League who attacked, killed, extorted, tendered the universities later came to the police through BCS and made the police force controversial. A bad culture has been practiced by bringing them into the police force, which will be reformed soon.
Moinul Islam said that many politicians have used the police as a shield in the past. Again, when the BCL came to the police, on the contrary, they also used politics as a shield. This practice must be stopped. If someone wants to do politics, leave the police job.
Regarding the role of the police in the student movement, he said that strict action will be taken against the police members involved in the student movement. They will be brought to justice. So far 21 policemen have been arrested.
Requesting the police not to think of them as adversaries, the IGP said that the police want to be friends of the people. We are trying our best to restore the place of trust. We also do not want people's confidence in the entire force to rise because of a few members of the police.
Earlier, the IGP visited the grave of Abu Saeed, an English 12th batch student of Begum Rokeya University, who died in the anti-discrimination student movement. Later spoke to his family members.

It should be noted that Abu Saeed was killed by the police on July 16. After that, when the movement spread widely across the country, Sheikh Hasina's government fell on August 5.
