Jumbangla Desk: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir urged the government not to take any rash decision on the issue of removal of the President. He said, we think that the matter should be in the constitutional process. That is why there is a need for speedy election-centric reforms.

He made this comment after paying tribute on the occasion of the 46th founding anniversary of Jubo Dal at the shrine of martyred President Ziaur Rahman in Shere-Banglanagar of the capital on Sunday.


BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam said, I have taken an oath here today to protect our freedom at any cost. After a long struggle against the fascist Awami League, it became independent for the second time on August 5 The role of Yuva Dal in this struggle is undoubtedly significant.

Mirza Fakhrul said, despite BNP chairperson being ill, Jubo Dal under the leadership of our leader Tariq Rahman has become much stronger than before. His role will remain intact in the successful outcome of the student uprising to protect the sovereignty of this country. Jubo Dal will play a leading role in resisting those who are not good Chinese in Bangladesh.


When asked what is BNP's position on the fact that the anti-discrimination student movement has met with you on the removal of the President, BNP Secretary General said, "The discussion will be held at the highest forum of BNP, and I will clarify our position after the discussion."


He also said that we have said before that the revolution of Bangladesh has to be coordinated in order to bring home the fruits of the mass uprising, then national unity and any kind of hasty decision cannot be taken, we think it should be done in the constitutional process. That is why there is a need for speedy election-centric reforms.


Asked whether he is afraid of any conspiracy if the election is delayed, he said, "We have been saying again and again that the election should be held as soon as possible." Power must be transferred to a constitutional political force .
