Passport
Mohammad Abu Saeed, a director of the Bangladesh Immigration and Passport Directorate, said that in the beginning there were three types of passports, ordinary or general passport, special or special passport and diplomatic or diplomatic passport. The special passport was also known as the Indian passport as it was issued only for travel to India. Until 2010, Bangladeshi ordinary passports were green, and diplomatic passports were red. Until 2010, all passports of Bangladesh were handwritten. In 2010, according to the instructions of the International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO, Machine Readable Passport or MRP was introduced, and special passports or passports only for going to India were abolished.
