By visiting the market and talking to the traders, it is known that the prices of vegetables are decreasing as the supply of vegetables increases in the wholesale markets. Most of the vegetables in the market are now around Tk 50 to Tk 70 per kg. But a few days ago it was close to 100 rupees.
After visiting the capital's Karwan Bazaar on Sunday, it was seen that there is now sufficient supply of all kinds of vegetables in the market. Patol, chichinga, dhundal are being sold at retail at Tk 50, papaya at Tk 40, long brinjal at Tk 60 to Tk 70, round eggplant at Tk 80, bitter gourd at Tk 80 to Tk 90, green chilli at Tk 120 to Tk 140 per kg, desi cucumber at Tk 60 per kg. , Kachurmukhi is sold at Tk 60 per kg, flower coppice at Tk 30 to Tk 40 per piece, gourd at Tk 40 to Tk 50 per piece, beans at Tk 120 to Tk 140 per kg, tomato at Tk 160 to Tk 180 per kg and burbot at Tk 80 to Tk 90 per kg.
However, the vendors are selling each vegetable in the retail markets of the capital by increasing the price of each vegetable by Tk 10 to Tk 20 per kg compared to the retail price at the caravan market. Now that the winter vegetables have started arriving, the supply has increased more than before. Due to which the price of vegetables is decreasing every day.
