The incident took place in Kodagu district of Karnataka, India. On the basis of this incident, the police identified Ramesh's wife Neharika and her boyfriend Nikhil and another person. Later they were arrested.
How the incident started
On October 8, police found an unidentified charred body in a coffee plantation near Santikoppa in Kodagu. When Jathan failed to identify her body, police analyzed roadside CCTV footage in the area. Where a red Mercedes car attracted the attention of the police. The car was registered in the name of Ramesh. Ramesh's wife also lodged a missing complaint on his behalf. The police later tried to contact the person who registered the vehicle in Telangana.
The police succeeded in his attempt. The police suspect Niharika (29), wife of car owner Ramesh. When he was taken to court he confessed to killing Ramesh and also to his two accomplices Nikhil and Ankur. Nikhil is a veterinarian by profession. Niharika has long been involved in money fraud. Because of this he was jailed. Later he met Ankur in jail.
Niharika kills Ramesh after being released from jail. It was her second marriage with Ramesh. Businessman Ramesh offers his wife Niharika a luxurious lifestyle. Which this woman uses as an opportunity. At one point he demanded Rs 8 crore from Ramesh. But Ramesh refused to give it.
Nebula is enraged by this. At one point, Nikhil had an affair and killed Ramesh, the husband of Angur's helper. He was strangled to death in Hyderabad on October 1. After taking his money and going 800 km away, Ramesh's body was put in a box in a coffee garden and set on fire. After that they all returned to Hyderabad. Later, Neharika complained to the police that Ramesh was missing.
Kodagu police chief Ramarajan said, "It was a challenge for us to find out the mystery of this murder." Because all the signs were almost destroyed. Initially, I think that Ramesh's body was dumped 3 to 4 days before filing the case.
