Jumbangla Desk: Teaching is going on in a classroom with 3 students of Char Dhulasar Government Primary School No. 128 of No. 9 Dhulasar Union of Kalapara Upazila of Patuakhali, the rest of the rooms of the school of 117 students are left empty. Details from Channel 24's report-
Although primary school classes are supposed to start at 9:30 am according to the government rules, the school is running according to its own rules without paying any attention to these rules and regulations. Assistant teacher Jahangir came to the class at 10 o'clock. A teacher named Akalima also came a little after 10 o'clock, the head teacher Al Amin Biswas entered the school around 10:30. At that time, all the classrooms of the school from pre-primary to fifth grade were empty.
Assistant teacher Akalima hurriedly entered the office after seeing the journalist and signed the signatures of the past few days. However, the absence of the head teacher has been seen in the attendance register for the past few days. Another assistant teacher said that Sauda is on leave but could not show any leave documents (Sauda's father) the head teacher.
The school had 3 against 5 teachers and a total of 11 from pre-primary to class V. It is known that such a situation is due to indecent behavior, absenteeism, mismanagement of the teachers of the school. The managing committee is limited to paper, make-up and conducts teaching according to their own whims. By writing a single institution in front of the school, it is as if a single domination is spread.
Locals complain that school teachers do not come properly. The school has been closed for the last 7-8 years without any regular classes for the students. It is alleged that the father is the head teacher, the mother is the assistant teacher and the daughter is the assistant teacher of the same family, so they are taking classes by taking turns. The father actually does not come to the girl, the mother actually does not come to the father, it is as if the thief is playing police game with the students.
Several parents including local Sajib Talukdar said that by ending all the irregularities, the educational institution established in 1990 should become vibrant again with the walk of young students and beautiful and natural teaching. We hope so.
Parent member Mohammad Sufian Talukder lamented that teachers do not come to class properly, even though they are supposed to come at nine o'clock, they sometimes come at 10 o'clock and sometimes at 11 o'clock. They don't take classes properly. Three of them from the same family, including the headmaster, his daughter and wife, came one day and left for two or three days at a time. We want the organization to run properly.
Local Liton Hossain Talukder said that due to teachers' irregularities, the school is almost empty of students today. Local people have told me that they will not admit their children to school unless the teachers are removed permanently.
A parent, who did not wish to be named, complained that his son was admitted to this school a year ago. But in the last one year, he still can't read books. Currently there are 117 students on paper in the school. But attendance is on an average of 10-12 people per day. Teachers have to spend free time as there are less students.
When asked about this, head teacher Al Amin Biswas said, "I, my wife and daughter work in the same institution, but I never used personal influence." He did not come to school for the last two days due to physical illness but accepted the responsibility for the irregularity without taking leave.
He also said that the assistant teacher Akalima did not come to school last Thursday and there was no opportunity to sign on Sunday. When asked about the absence of the assistant teacher, daughter Sauda said that she was on leave but could not show the leave paper.
Upazila executive officer in this regard. Rabiul Islam said, there is no opportunity to sign the last few days on the same day without taking leave These are the ones I am looking for, legal action will be taken soon.
District primary education officer. Bakhtiar Rahman said that the name of that school is not in the list of schools with less than 50 students in the district. He said that legal action will be taken after looking into the matter soon.
