Saiful Islam, Manikganj: The police arrested another person named Abdul Quddus (56) on the charge of molesting a 2nd year student of 'Sadar Uddin Degree College' in Shivalaye Upazila of Manikganj along with the college teacher Md. Delwar Hossain and trying to rape a 2nd class child in Teota Union of the upazila.

On Tuesday (October 29), the police arrested them and sent them to the learned court, confirmed the fact by the officer-in-charge of Shivaloy police station ARM Al Mamun.

According to the police and complaint sources, Md Delwar Hossain, a teacher of Shibaloy Sadar Uddin Degree College, molested a 2nd year student of his college's humanities branch while giving private lessons at his private coaching center in Doctorkhana area on October 28. Teacher Delwar used to give bad suggestions to the victim student in various ways. On the day of the incident, teacher Delwar asked the student to leave the coaching center later after giving suggestions. After the other students left, teacher Delwar again bad-suggested her. As the student did not consent to this, teacher Delwar grabbed the student's hand and forcibly removed her face hijab to molest her. The student tactfully walks out of the coaching center. Failing to fulfill the purpose, the teacher started intimidating and threatening the student in various ways not to tell anyone about the incident. After this incident, the victim student filed a written complaint at Shivaloy police station.

On the other hand, the police arrested a man named Abdul Quddus (56) of Babur Payla village on the charge of attempted rape of a child studying in the 2nd class of Teota Union of Shivaloy Upazila. He was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and sent to jail.

According to the complaint, Babur Paila village of Teota Unien of the upazila died. Lal Chan Mridha's son Abdul Quddus (56) tried to rape the 2nd class child. On the morning of October 26, the victim child went to the neighboring Quddus shop with one of his girlfriends. As the shop was closed, Quddus called the children on their way home. At that time, the victim's girlfriend ran away, but the victim grabbed the child's hand and took her inside her living room and sexually assaulted the child with her hands on various sensitive parts of the body. The child was released after screaming. Later the child went home and told the details to his mother. In this regard, a case of attempted rape has been registered at Shivaloy police station.

Officer-in-charge of Shivaloy police station ARM. Al Mamun admitted the truth of the two incidents and said that there were two separate cases in the police station on the charges of attempted rape and molestation of a student by a college teacher. The accused have been arrested and sent to court. Further necessary action will be taken after investigation.
