Jumbangla Desk: A young man named Mitchell Rudy from Canada has set a Guinness World Record by walking 38 dogs together. He walks 0.6 miles (one kilometer) with the dogs. With this, the young man broke the previous record of 36 dog walks. The previous record was held by a young man named Gosan in South Korea. Dogs from the Korean KA9 Rescue (KK9R) shelter were provided for Mitchell's record.

38 dogs

Mitchell Rudy is one of the main founders of the Canadian charity BONK. He said he was very happy to spend time with so many dogs.

Mitchell added that some of these dogs were rescued from puppy mills. Some dogs were previously in meat producing areas. They were rescued by Korea's KA9 Rescue and other agencies. There are many misconceptions about rescue dogs. They are wonderful animals, they deserve a good home (to be nurtured and cared for at home). They just need a little love.

"We didn't have much time to prepare," said Gina Kim-Sadiku, executive director of KA9 Rescue. But because the dogs had strong training, we were able to achieve a lot in a short time.

Mitchell added that the main goal of her initiative was to find new homes for as many dogs as possible as quickly as possible. "We wanted to do something where the dogs could prove their championship qualities," he said. They are very good dogs, they deserve a good home.

To break the Guinness record, Mitchell had to walk 1 kilometer (0.6 mi) and keep the dogs on a lead the entire time. Source: NDTV
