According to the news published in various media, the name of the 19-year-old is A Prabhu. He originally hailed from a village called Mekkur near Perundurai in Erode district.

Prabhu, a BTech third year student of the concerned college, is studying Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

After preliminary investigation, the police claimed that Prabhu believed that he had superpowers like superheroes in science fiction or comics. So he thought, he can easily jump down from the five floors of the hostel!

Prabhu's roommates claimed that he sometimes told them that he had miraculous powers. The roommates even claimed that the Lord told them last week that someone had practiced witchcraft on him and that he could not escape its influence!

According to sources, Prabhu was on the fifth floor of their hostel by 6:30 pm on Monday. At that time other students were also gossiping on the fifth floor balcony of the hostel. Suddenly the Lord jumped straight down from the fifth floor and fell directly to the ground!

After this incident, it was the students of the hostel who first took Prabhu to the suburban Karpagam Hospital. He was given first aid there. However, Prabhu was referred because of multiple broken bones in his hands and feet.
