Fierce discussion-criticism has started in Lakshmipur-4 (Ramgatti-Kamalnagar) seat over a letter sent from the center of BNP. Around this letter, intense anger and dissatisfaction has arisen among the leaders and workers of BNP and its affiliated organizations in two upazilas belonging to the constituency.

Through the mentioned letter, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) leaders and workers are campaigning on Facebook that ASM Abdur Rab is going to get the nomination of Paddy Sheesh again in the upcoming National Assembly elections. Various arguments have started about this.

In that letter, on behalf of BNP, the leaders and workers of the party have been instructed to cooperate with the JSD president ASM Abdur Rab in public relations and organizational work in Lakshmipur-4 parliamentary seat. This instruction was given in a letter signed by Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Joint Secretary General of BNP on October 22.

In the letter signed by Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, joint secretary general of BNP, written to the district BNP convener and member secretary, it has been mentioned that Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal President ASM Abdur Rab played an active and important role in the movement against the last fascist Awami misrule. He has been directed to provide full cooperation in public relations and organizational activities of his party in his parliamentary constituency. The matter was informed to the leaders and workers of BNP and its affiliated organizations in the police station, upazila or municipality of the concerned parliamentary area.

After the letter came on Facebook, there has been fierce discussion and criticism among the leaders and workers of the party at the field level about the possibility of receiving the nomination of ASM Abdur Rob's grain of rice. Ramgati town BNP convenor Saheed Ali told the media that the party has been well organized for a long time by the former member of parliament of Laxmipur-4 constituency ABM Ashraf Uddin Nijan. He has a close relationship with the leaders and workers of Trinamool. He is standing by the case against party leaders and workers. Leaders and workers and common people are very angry after seeing this letter from the center.

According to local leaders and workers, in the 2018 election, ABM Ashraf Uddin was nominated for this seat from the BNP alliance. ASM Abdur Rab lost to the candidate Major (retd) Abdul Mannan of the boat symbol in the election with the paddy symbol. The erstwhile Jasad is currently in crisis of existence. Vote bank quota is zero. In this situation, there is no way to win ASM Abdur Rab without a big party like BNP.

Members Secretary of Kamalnagar Upazila BNP Nurul Huda Chowdhury claimed that those who were in charge of the party during the bad times will become members of Parliament with nomination from the party. He said, the letter has angered and disappointed us. ASM Abdur Rab lost his bail in the 2008 national elections. Disregarding the opinion of Trinamool leaders and workers, the leaders and workers said that if the party takes any decision, it will resign.

ASM Abdur Rab could not be reached for comment on this matter. However, the Joint General Secretary of the Central Committee of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal, Syed Belayet Hossain told the media that in the movement to overthrow the dictatorial government, JSD is the party that plays an active and important role against misrule. The president of this party is national leader AS Abdur Rab. Rob played an active role in long simultaneous movements, street protests, demonstrations, marches, blockades, strikes and struggles. BNP gave this letter as politics and political etiquette.

ABM Ashraf Uddin, BNP's Central Joint Secretary for Industry and Commerce and former Member of Parliament for Lakshmipur-4 Constituency, said that a letter has been sent from the Center with instructions for cooperation in carrying out the political program. This is not an election letter. The letter does not contain any words about elections. There is no room for confusion here.

He also said that 10,000 leaders and activists of Ramgati and Kamalnagar are accused in the disappearance case. I am and will be on the streets with them. I believe, the party will not take any decision in which thousands of activists are injured.
