Jumbangla Desk: The magical night view of the capital's 300 feet highway captivates the city dwellers. So many people rushed from different areas of the capital to see that road in Purbachal. However , the road is becoming dangerous day by day due to reckless speed of cars and reckless behavior of bikers .
On Thursday (October 31) night, the army and the traffic police conducted a joint operation against illegal car parking at 300 feet, unlicensed drivers, unfit vehicles. About 60 army personnel from Uttara Army Camp and about 12 policemen from DMP participated in this operation.
At this time, the army members searched various vehicles. Passengers without license or helmet are also fined.
Police or media, VIP or expensive brand cars were not left out of the operation. Vehicles carrying fake media logos are fined.
Regular commuters on the road complain of reckless traffic and speed competition from bikers. They demanded to conduct such operations regularly.
The army says it will continue operations to ensure that no more lives are lost on the highway. Awareness, not fines, was the main objective of the campaign.
Major Ashiq of the Bangladesh Army said, to warn those who are traveling on the roads without having valid licenses, vehicle fitness and other legal licenses. This campaign will continue regularly. Hope this will send a good message to everyone and bring relief.
