Ekushey Padak award-winning veteran actor Masood Ali Khan breathed his last on Thursday afternoon. The late actor has been buried in his native village of Manikganj.
His family informed the media on Friday (November 1).
The family said, today (November 1) Friday, Bad Johar, Manikganj's Khan Baniapara village, Massud Ali Khan's funeral was held. He will then be buried there.
Masood Ali Khan was ill for a long time. He has been hospitalized many times for physical ailments. He was undergoing treatment as per the doctor's advice. After failing all efforts, this veteran actor passed away. He breathed his last today (October 31) at 4:20 PM at his home on Green Road in the capital. He was 95 years old.
Masud Ali Khan was born on October 6, 1929 in Paril Naudha village of Manikganj. Father Arshad Ali Khan was a government employee. His mother's name is Sitara Khatun. In 1952, Masud Ali Khan passed his high school. After two years passed BA from Jagannath College.
After the television center was established in Dhaka in 1964, he made his debut in TV dramas through Nurul Momen's drama 'Bhai Bhai Sami'. The artist made his film debut with 'Nadi O Nari' directed by Sadek Khan.
He has acted in almost 500 plays in his acting career of five decades. He was away from acting for a long time due to physical illness. In 2023, this actor was awarded the Ekushey Padak.
