Poet and director Sreejath is very angry because of the disrespectful, satirical gesture towards Rabindranath and his songs in India's popular program 'The Great Indian Kapil Show'.
He alleged that actress Kajol came to one of Kapil's shows. He is a Bengal child. Catching him in front of him, one of the comedians of the show, Krishna Abhishek, misinterpreted Kabiguru's song 'Jadi Tor Dak Shone Keu Na Ase'.
Sreejat writes, perhaps finding Kajol to be of Bengali origin, he chose a song by Rabindranath as a tool of mockery. He did not choose suddenly, that is how the script was arranged. What exactly happened, how it happened, I am not telling the details here. But, the sarcastic gesture and speech that Krishna (Krushna) Abhishek evokes on the song 'Ekla Chalo Re', goes far beyond the level of respect and decency, at least in my eyes.
Sharing Srijat's post, director-composer Indradeep Dasgupta said the incident was very unfortunate. All illiteracy.
Kapil Sharma's comedy shows are attended by Bollywood stars at various times. Sometimes in their film promotion. Sometimes just for fun. Kapil himself and the other members of his team used to play pranks and jokes with them.
In this regard, Shrijat Kapil Sharma has asked the channel authorities involved in the show to apologize. In his writing, I also informed that I am writing this post in consultation with one of the best lawyers in the matter concerned. If my demands are not accepted, considered and fulfilled by one week from today, i.e. November 7, 2024, I will take legal action.
Incidentally, after sharing this post of Sreejath, a total of 21 famous people from the Bengali entertainment world including Kaushik Gangopadhyay, Srijit Mukhopadhyay, Raj Chakraborty, Abir Chattopadhyay, Suman Ghosh, Eamon Chakraborty have already joined the protest.
