Much of the tension surrounding the central office of the Jatiya Party, which started on Thursday, has subsided. Jatiya Party has called a rally there on Saturday (November 2), two days after students set fire to the office. On the other hand, the students announced the mass resistance program. When heat spread around the programs of both parties, the DMP announced a ban on meetings and gatherings in Kakrail and surrounding areas. Both parties later suspended their programs. It stops the heat.

Although there is no program surrounding the office of the Jatiya Party, the police have surrounded the building that was set on fire since Saturday (November 2) morning. No outsider can enter there. Jatiya Party leaders and activists were not seen there, neither was anyone from the opposition.

It was alleged that Jatiya Party leaders and activists attacked the student torch procession last Thursday evening. When the news became known, the students from Dhaka University's TSC brought a procession and later the angry students vandalized and set fire to the central office of the group.

Jatiya Party Chairman Golam Mohammad Quader called an emergency press conference at Banani office on Friday (November 1) at noon. There he complained that there is a conspiracy against the Jatiya Party. They also claim that they are not friends of the autocratic Awami League.

In the press conference, the GM announced that they will rally in front of the party's central office on Saturday at any cost. On the other hand, Bangladesh Student Rights Council President Bin Yamin Mollah from TS announced that Jatiya Party will not be allowed to hold any rally and this action of Awami League's henchmen in the name of Jatiya Party will be resisted. According to him, allowing the Jatiya Party to hold a rally on Saturday is another ploy to rehabilitate the Awami League.

In this position facing both sides, the police declared any kind of meetings, gatherings, marches, processions and demonstrations prohibited in the capital's Pioneer Road and Kakrail and surrounding areas.

After the ban by the DMP, Jatiya Party Chairman's Press Secretary Khandkar Delwar Jalali said in a press release that any kind of meetings, gatherings, marches, processions, demonstrations, etc. are prohibited in building No. 66 on Pioneer Road, Kakrail, etc. It has been decided to suspend the march and rally. The next program will be officially announced by the Jatiya Party.
