Rapid Action Battalion Bangladesh (RAB) has seized 596 bottles of foreign liquor and beer of different brands in Biswambharpur of Sunamganj.

RAB-9 Sylhet Media Officer (Assistant Superintendent of Police) said on Saturday. Mashihur Rahman confirmed this information to Yugantar.

Earlier, based on intelligence information, a smart raiding team of RAB-9, CPC-3, RAB of Sunamganj camp conducted an anti-narcotics operation in North Kapna village of Salukabad union of Biswambharpur upazila on Thursday night. 596 bottles of foreign liquor and beer were seized in the raid. At this time, the drug dealers fled.

Mirazul Islam, son of deceased Mohammad Ali of Uor Kapna village of Biswambharpur, and 8 to 9 unidentified drug dealers filed a case against RAB as plaintiffs for involvement in drug dealing.
