Acting Secretary General of the organization Nizam Uddin Ahmed informed this information in a press release on Saturday.

It is said that the leaders of the secretariat officers-employees met in an emergency meeting to take appropriate action after submitting the 9-point demand to the Cabinet Secretary. The proceedings of the meeting started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. The meeting was presided over by the acting secretary general of the organization, Nizam Uddin Ahmed. Md. Badiul Kabir.

Considering the rationale of the demands presented by the Bangladesh Secretariat Officers-Employees Joint Council, a letter was sent from the Cabinet Division to the Ministry of Public Administration and the Ministry of Finance on October 30 to take appropriate action. Among the demands presented were the reservation of posts in different categories and change of designations according to the availability of non-cadre feeder posts working in the Secretariat. , New Pay Commission Structure, 50% Dearness Allowance, 100% Provision of pension and 400% gratuity benefits, introduction of 10 grades instead of the existing 20 grades, changing the existing designation of the Central Library of the Secretariat and giving rational names, refunds of dues like sacked-temporary-retrenchments and unjustly forced retirees during the previous government.


Apart from this, the Cabinet Secretary has assured the leaders to include representatives of Secretariat Officers-Employees Joint Council in the pay commission to be formed by the government as an important issue. He also said that the inclusion of representative in the pay commission to be formed in the future will be informed in due time through a letter confirming the inclusion of the representative from the joint council.
