Popular small screen actress Mehjabeen Chowdhury could not open the showroom due to 'barriers' in Chittagong. Mehzabeen was supposed to inaugurate a brand shop called 'Khuki Lifestyle' on RS Road in Riazuddin Bazar on Saturday (November 2) at noon.

On the other hand, a party of businessmen warned that the showroom cannot be inaugurated in Riazuddin Bazar with any heroine from the morning. This warning was given under the banner of 'Riyazuddin Bazar all levels of traders and Tawhidi Janata', said several traders. A large number of police were deployed to avoid any untoward incident.

Those concerned said that a brand showroom was scheduled to be inaugurated at Riazuddin Bazar on Saturday afternoon. Mehzabeen Chowdhury, a girl from Chittagong, posted a video message on her verified Facebook page on October 28 about the opening of the 'Khuki Lifestyle' showroom. He invited the local fans to attend the event. Mehzabin reached Chittagong, but Riazuddin did not go to the market to inaugurate the showroom due to fear of trouble there. As a result, the showroom was inaugurated without the actress.

A leaflet (banner) containing a warning under the banner of 'Riyazuddin Bazar all levels of traders and Tawhidi Janata' was shared by various traders of Riazuddin Bazar on their Facebook timelines. Where it was written, 'We strongly condemn and protest the decision to open a showroom named Khuki Lifestyle opposite the new railway station with actress Mehzabin Chowdhury.'

Abul Kalam, General Secretary of Riazuddin Bazar Merchants' Association, said, 'Due to obstacles, the popular actress of the small screen, Mehzabeen Chowdhury, could not come to the event. I learned that a party of traders has blocked. I don't know much about the details.'
