When this picture went viral on social media on October 31, the matter became the talk of the town. The defendants of these cases filed by BNP in Jhalkathi after the fall of the Awami League government on August 5 were seen at this wedding ceremony. Some of them are rumored to be out of the country and in hiding, but the event turns into their reunion.

Even BNP's central committee religious affairs secretary Rafiqul Islam Jamal along with the defendants of the attack, including the plaintiff Reza Rahman, many leaders of BNP.

After the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government, the police and intelligence department could not trace these defendants in several cases filed by BNP. However, the incident caused quite a stir as the picture of the plaintiff-accused standing together publicly in the wedding ceremony went viral.

Among the Awami League leaders who were seen in pictures and videos on this occasion are Jhalkathi Municipal Awami League Vice President Jorda businessman Shamsul Haque Manu, Sadar Upazila Awami League General Secretary and Councilor Afiz Al Mahmud, Municipal Awami League Treasurer Monirul Islam Talukdar and many others.
