Tamim Iqbal has been out of the national team for a long time. He last played for the national team in September last year. In an interview given to a TV channel, Tamim said, 'I am returning to the team because of the media. I am not returning to the team, that is also yours (media). Have I ever said that I am returning to the team, or not returning to the team?'

"The media, the social media, the people who make content on YouTube are making a drama, as if I am having fun with the board. He said, they make up the story according to their own, and spoil my reputation. Where I am not making any comment.'-He added.

Requesting everyone not to spread rumors around Tamim, he said, 'I request everyone, do not believe anything about my return or not until you hear a statement from my mouth. Another thing, if I want to return to the team, the team will not welcome it. If the board-selectors think I need it, then it is my personal decision whether I want to return or not…….'

'What is happening now, I have been watching for the last three-four months being made the captain, being taken to the team again and not wanting to return - but you can understand who is making everything. But my comment cannot be found in any of these.'- He added.

Have you personally made a decision to return to the team or not? In response to such a question, Tamim said, 'There was no discussion with anyone in this regard. Never talked to anyone. I started batting now keeping BPL in mind. Preparing myself for BPL. Apart from that, there is nothing else on my mind at the moment.'

Tamim said, 'I did not say that I am preparing for the national team. Or getting ready for the West Indies tour. So there is nothing to be confused about.'
