The arrested person's name is Motalib Mia (38). He is the son of Mayes Uddin of Ramjivan village of Sundarganj police station of Gaibanda district.

The name of the deceased is Kanchan Nahar (34). She is the daughter of late Abul Kalam of the same district. Both of them were working in Adamji EPZ. They were currently living on rent in Aftab Uddin's house in Mizmiji Alamin Nagar area of ​​Siddhirganj.

Citing the questioning of the detained Motalib, Siddhirganj police station sub-inspector Nibir said that on Saturday (November 2) at approximately 10 o'clock, his wife Kanchan was talking on her mobile phone. At that time, when Swami Motaleb asked who she was talking to, Kanchan disconnected the mobile phone and deleted all the numbers from the dial list. Motaleb is suspicious of this. The husband and wife argued for a long time about that matter. At one point late at night there was a fight between them . Motalib's complaint is that wife Kanchan hit her husband's testicles during the fight. Then he got angry and strangled his wife by wrapping a towel around her neck.


Later, when they wanted to take the wife to the hospital in an ambulance, the owner of their house got suspicious. The National Emergency Service then called 999 and reported the matter to the police. After getting information about this incident, we went to the spot and recovered Kanchan's body and brought it to the police station. Later, the body was sent to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for post-mortem. Deputy Inspector Nibir said that the victim's brother is preparing the case as the plaintiff.

Meanwhile, two of his colleagues rushed to Siddhirganj police station on the news of Motalib's arrest. His colleagues, who did not wish to be named, said Motalib Adamjee was working as a deputy manager in a garment factory called UNESCO BD Ltd in EPZ. On the other hand, his wife was working in the sample department of a garment factory called Lintus BD.

Al-Mamun, the officer in charge of Siddhirganj police station, said that the husband Motalib was arrested on the charge of killing his wife. The body of the deceased has been sent to the morgue for autopsy. Preparations are underway to file a case.
