Application for admission to the school begins on November 12, selection lottery

No admission form will be distributed from the school in case of student admission.

Admission application is available online only at https://gsa.teletalk.com.bd.
The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education said in a circular on Sunday that the online application process will start from 11 am on November 12 and continue till 5 pm on November 30. Students will be selected through lottery in December after application. The admission application fee for the academic year 2025 has been fixed at Tk 110, which can be paid only through SMS from Teletalk pre-paid mobile.

Applicants across the country will get the list of Thana-wise educational institutions while selecting institutions at the time of application. In this case, candidates can select a maximum of 5 schools in order of preference in each application based on availability. In case of double shift organization, both shifts will be considered completed if both shifts are selected. The same choice of school or shift cannot be chosen a second time.

In the academic year 2025, all government secondary schools (including privatized ones) across the country must participate in the digital selection process at the central level. In the case of admission of students, no other examination will be accepted other than completing the selection process of students through random selection.

According to the National Education Policy-2010 and Government Secondary School Student Admission Policy, the age of the student must be 6+ years for admission in the first class in the academic year 2025.


However, students with a minimum age of 5 years as on 1st January of the desired academic year and a maximum age of 7 years as on 31st December can apply (eg: A student's age limit for admission in 2025 academic year will be minimum 05 years i.e. minimum date of birth will be 1st January 2020 and maximum age limit will be 7 years till i.e. date of birth till 31 December 2017).

Besides, the number of seats equal to the number of children suitable for the admission of teachers/employees working in government secondary schools will be reserved in their respective schools. In this case they need not apply online. However, if the teacher/employee is working in a Government Secondary Boys' School and his eligible child is a girl, the seat should be reserved in the nearest Government Girls'/Co-educational School. If the teacher/employee is working in a Government Secondary Girls School and his/her eligible child is a boy, the seat should be reserved in the nearest Government Boys/Co-educational School. Similarly, if the teacher is working in a co-educational school, then the seat should be reserved in the working school for the admission of his eligible child. However, if there is no suitable desired class of admission in the working school, the seat should be reserved in the nearest Boys/Girls/Co-educational School (where applicable).
