International Desk: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has raised questions about giving shelter to Sheikh Hasina, who fled in the face of the mass movement. He said, 'Why Hasina was settled in India.'

Hemant attacked Home Minister Amit Shah and the Central Government while campaigning for the party candidate in the Garowa Assembly. At the same time, he also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving shelter to Sheikh Hasina.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) chief Hemant alleged that the Center and BJP leaders were playing a 'dual' role regarding Bangladesh. Modi bowed before the Constitution while taking oath as Prime Minister. He said, the country will run according to the constitution. All sections of the society will have equal rights. I want to ask him (Modi), have you made any internal arrangements with Bangladesh? Why did you allow Hasina's helicopter to land in India?'

According to Indian media reports, Amit Shah had earlier campaigned in Jharkhand and claimed that the West Bengal and Jharkhand governments can stop the infiltrators crossing the border from Bangladesh to enter India if they want. Penetration is increasing with the help of local administration and state government.

At the time, Amit Shah promised that if the BJP came to power in Jharkhand, it would seize land from encroachers and introduce strict laws to expel them from the country. However, asking Amit Shah a counter question, Hemant said, 'The electricity produced in Jharkhand is being supplied to Bangladesh.' Hence it is the Centre's responsibility to guard the border and prevent infiltration. The state government has no hand in this matter.
