Jumbangla Desk: The police recovered the hanging body of a housewife named Asma Akhtar (20) in Chandpur. On Sunday (November 3), the police recovered his body from Radhi Bari in Chirka village of Gobindpur North Union of Faridganj upazila.

The deceased housewife, expatriate Malaysia. Wife of Masum and daughter of deceased Hafez Khan of Khan Bari of Charamthura village in the same upazila. They have a one-year-old son, Ayan.

Talking to the people of that house, it is known that Asma got married to Masum two years ago. Soon after the marriage, the husband migrated abroad. They have a one-year-old child. Asma lived with her parents-in-law and two brothers-in-law.

Asma's mother-in-law Machuma Begum said that all the family went to sleep after eating on Saturday night. However, Asma had no fixed time to sleep because of Tik Tok on her mobile. In the morning, Asma's father-in-law came out of the house to go to the bathroom and found Asma hanging from the nearby mango tree. After being brought down from there and taken to a local private hospital, the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Asmar's brother-in-law Saimun said, the suspicion that the Tiktok addict is involved in extramarital affairs caused turmoil in the family. Mobile phones were smashed as part of efforts to deter him. But there was no quarrel about it. I do not understand why this happened.

Faridganj police station sub-inspector (SI) Ismail Hossain said Asma's body was recovered and brought to the police station. His body has been sent to Chandpur Government General Hospital morgue for post-mortem at noon.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Faridganj Police Station. Hanif Sarkar said that Asma's elder brother Md. Rubel Khan filed a case of wrongful death at the police station. The body will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem.
