Jumbangla Desk: Two young women went on hunger strike together demanding marriage at the house of a young man named Shaheen in Jhenaidah's Holidhani Union. Among them, Shaheen married a person named Runa who was on hunger strike for two lakh taka.

On Sunday (November 3) at 11:30 pm, the marriage of Runa and Shaheen was completed at the marriage registrar Azizur Rahman Minu of Harinakundu Upazila of Jhenaidah.

Shaheen Jhenaidah is the son of Ikramul Haque of Gaganna village of Halidhani Union of Sadar Upazila. And Runa is the daughter of Abul Kashem of Ghoragacha village of Kapashatia union of Harinakundu upazila.

Local residents said that last night a young woman from Kapashhatia Union of nearby Harinakundu Upazila stayed at Shaheen's house demanding marriage. On hearing the news, another young woman from the district headquarters came to his house demanding marriage. A sensation was created in the area when the news of the whereabouts of two young women spread in the house of a young man.

Locals also said that Shaheen was having a love affair with a young woman for almost two years. Their two families were also willing to marry. But at one point the girl's family refused the marriage. After that, when the family went to get married elsewhere, the girl ran away and went to Shaheen's house. On the other hand, two months later, Shaheen developed a love relationship with another girl. After getting the news, he also went to Shaheen's house to demand marriage.

Shaheen's uncle Shamchul Islam said that this girl came to demand marriage on Saturday afternoon. Later, when another girl came, trouble was created. Now solving all the problems Shaheen is married to the girl who came first, Runa.

Shaheen said, first I wanted to marry Runa. Later, the decision had to be changed as Sadia left. Later, when Sadia voluntarily leaves home, there is no obstacle to marry Runa. Still, I got married to Runa at 11 pm after going through many social problems.

Runa says, I love Shaheen from the beginning. I wanted to marry him . Later, when the girl came, there was a problem. Since that girl is gone, there is no obstacle in our marriage. I consider my love to be 100% pure by marrying Shaheen.

When asked about this, Santosh Kumar, a member of the local Holidhani Union Parishad (UP), said that Shaheen married a person at night. Later, another young woman returned home with the help of local residents.
