7-day remand application of Tapas of Gun Bangla

Jumbangla Desk: The police has applied for the seven-day remand of Kaushik Hossain Tapas, the chairman of the private television channel Gun Bangla, in an attempt to murder case of the Uttara Purba police station.

Today, Monday (November 4), the investigating officer of the case, Deputy Inspector of Uttara Purba police station. Mohibullah made this application. The hearing will be held in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saifuzzaman.

He was arrested from Uttara in the capital on Monday.

According to the sources of the case, a businessman named Ishtiaq Mahmud and others participated in the program during the anti-discrimination student movement on July 18. Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League attacked and opened fire in front of Azampur Nawab Habibullah High School under Uttara Purba Police Station, Sector No. 4. Ishtiaq is shot in the stomach. He was treated at Evercare Hospital. In this incident, on September 29, Ishtiaq Mahmud filed a case of attempted murder at Uttara Purba police station. 126 people including former IGP Abdullah Al Mamun were accused in the case. Kaushik Hossain Tapas is accused number 9 in this case.
