In the meeting, Chief Adviser Safar Raj Hossain informed the Chief Adviser about the progress of Police Reforms Commission.
The meeting was informed;
1. The Police Reforms Commission has already held 10 meetings. Besides, four more meetings were held with the stakeholders.
2. A questionnaire has been prepared seeking public opinion; Which is already given on the website.
3. There have been proposals to amend certain laws and regulations which are being scrutinized. Apart from this, appropriate proposals are being made to simplify certain processes.
4. A proposal to change the use of force in mob control is underway.
5. Certain sections of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1898 are being examined and changes are being considered.
