However, some problems have arisen due to the timing of the auction.
IPL Mega Auction
Meanwhile, each team has retained two to six cricketers as per their plan. As per the rules, each team can have a maximum of 25 cricketers. A total of 46 cricketers have been retained by the 10 IPL teams for the next three seasons. A total of 204 more cricketers can get the team in the auction. Among them there may be 70 foreign cricketers. Cricket lovers are now interested in who will form the team for the next three years.
According to BCCI sources, the IPL auction will be held for two days on November 24 and 25. The auction is being held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. According to the sources of the board, several media in India have mentioned about 24th and 25th November. However, we have to wait for the official announcement.
Meanwhile, Australia-India first Test will start from November 22 in Perth. Days 3 and 4 of India's first Test are scheduled for the IPL auction. This is where the main problem starts. Boarder-Gavaskar Trophy and IPL auction are the same channel. So when the auction will be started, the discussion is going on.
The time difference between Perth, Australia and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is 5 hours. According to BCCI officials, the respective channel authority will start the auction after the completion of the respective two-day match of the Australia-India Test. Again, several groups are not in favor of running the auction till late night. Depending on the demand of the broadcasting channel, the auction may be held by afternoon.
