Entertainment desk: The 45th film festival will be held at the Cairo Opera House in Egypt from November 13 to 22. Mehzabeen Chowdhury's film 'Priya Malti' has been nominated in the international competition category at this year's festival. The film will have its world premiere at this festival. The English name of the film is 'Whispers of a Thirsty River'.

The movie is produced by the young filmmaker Shankh Dasgupta under the production of Frame Per Second and Charki. This is his first film. The movie is scripted by Sankh Dasgupta and Abu Saeed Rana. Sankh Dasgupta has also written the story of the movie besides directing. The makers started the shooting of the movie in the middle of 2023.

Shankh Dasgupta said, 'The film is having its world premiere at this prestigious film festival. This is very happy news for us. The film will be released in the country soon.'
