Religion Desk: Man cannot survive from sin by his own strength or power. Cannot protect oneself from Satan's plot. In addition to one's own efforts, one also needs help and tawfiq from Allah. Therefore, in order to survive from sin, it is necessary to pray for God's help in addition to one's own efforts. Various hadiths narrate many supplications of the Prophet (PBUH) in which he sought Allah's help in avoiding sin. Here we mention 3 such duas:

1. Hazrat Ziyad Ibn Ilaqah (RA) narrated in his uncle's will. Nabiji (peace be upon him) used to pray,
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from reprehensible morals, deeds, and desires.
Pronunciation : Allahumma Inni Aujubika Min Munkaratil Akhlaki Wal Amali Wal Ahwayi.
Meaning: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from evil character, evil deeds and vices. (Sunan at-Tirmidhi: 3591)
2. Shutayr Ibn Shakal Ibn Humayd (RA) narrated from his father Shakal (RA). He said, I said one day, O Prophet of God! Teach me a supplication by which I may seek refuge with Allah. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, read:
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, the evil of my sight, the evil of my tongue, the evil of my heart, and the evil of my semen.
Pronunciation: Allahumma inni awjubika min sharri sam'i, wa min sharri basari, wa sharri lisani wa sharri kalbi wa sharri maniyi
Meaning: O Allah! I seek refuge with You from the evil of my ears (evil hearing), the evil of my eyes (seeing), the evil of my mouth (speaking), the evil of my heart (thoughts) and the evil of my semen (fornication). (Sunan Abu Dawud: 1551, Sunan Tirmidhi: 3492)
3. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that this is one of the favorite supplications of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him):
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness, sin, and debt.
Pronunciation: Allahumma inni aujubika minal kasali wal ma-chami wal magrami.
Meaning: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness, sin and debt. (Sahih Bukhari: 6377)
