Sports Desk: English star Gus Atkinson got a great recognition in the fourth month of his journey in international Test cricket. This fast bowler won the Bob Willis Trophy for England's cricketer of the year as voted by the Cricket Writers Club.

Off-spinner Shoaib Bashir has been selected as the Young Cricketer of the Year. England women's left-arm spinner Sophie Ecclestone won the Women's Cricket Award .
The winners were announced on Tuesday. Atkinson took 12 wickets including seven in the first innings against the West Indies in the debut Test at Lord's last July. He took a total of 22 wickets in three Tests in the debut series.
Back at Lord's the following month, he scored a century at number eight against Sri Lanka. He is the fastest male cricketer to be named on all three Lord's honors boards (5 wickets in an innings, 10 wickets in a match and a century with the bat). That's why he needed only 4 innings in two matches.
