Addressing the leaders and activists, he said, earn the trust and love of the people, stay with the people, keep the people with them.
BNP will definitely win if the people get a chance to vote in a free and fair election.
Tariq Rahman said these things in a discussion meeting on the occasion of 'Historical National Revolution and Solidarity Day on November 7th' organized by BNP at Rajdhani Engineers Institution on Wednesday (06 November).
Acting Chairman of BNP said that in the current situation of the country, the conspiracy of the fugitive dictator's allies to fail the interim government has not stopped. While the mafia government was clinging to power without a vote, it was engaged in the evil strategy of making Bangladesh known as a terrorist state in the world. Having lost power, the evil forces of August 5 have now again indulged in trying to introduce Bangladesh as a communal state to the world. Therefore, all the forces on the side of Bangladesh must be alert and careful to stop the conspiracy of the defeated evil forces on August 5.
Addressing the interim government, he said, fascism will never be able to take away freedom and voting rights if the people's courts and state courts are strong, independent and effective in the country. People's court does not mean judicial court or mob justice. A people's court means a person vests his party with the politically powerful, ultimate power. If the right of the people to exercise their vote is ensured, then the state does not have to bear the responsibility of unpopular acts like banning or promoting any political party or person. By exercising their right to vote, people themselves will reject murderers, robbers, money launderers, corruptors or mafias hiding behind political identities. Any criminal offense must be tried in a state court. But if the culture of deciding the political fate of an individual or a party is introduced in the arena of politics, i.e. by the people, in the court of the people, it will undoubtedly be considered as an important political reform.
Stating that the interim government has started the process of restructuring the Election Commission, the Acting Chairman of BNP said that the election process will start as per the continuation of the reorganization of the Election Commission. So I want to say to all the leaders and workers of BNP, earn the trust and love of the people, stay with the people, keep the people with you. BNP will definitely win if the people get a chance to vote in a free and fair election. But it is good to have the confidence of victory in every leader and activist. But be careful not to be overconfident and alienate yourself from the people. Refrain from doing anything that is not liked by the people. Because people are the source of all political power of BNP.
He said, judging by public expectations, 1971, November 7, 1975, 1990 and August 5, 2024 - each incident is based on the same sources. The goal of each movement was to build a non-discriminatory, democratic and humane Bangladesh.
Stating that the interim government has started the reform program to repair the state, Tariq Rahman said that reform is a continuous and ongoing process. BNP is in favor of reform activities. However, BNP believes that the qualitative change and reform of politics, political parties and political workers-supporters for the purpose of political empowerment of the people is more important than traditional reforms of the state or state institutions. Because in democratic management the state is ultimately run by the politicians.
Pointing out that the term of the interim government will be completed in a day, he said that three months may not be enough time to evaluate the success and failure of a government. But it should be remembered that three months may seem like three years to the people who have to give up every day while fighting with the price of goods in the market. Therefore, it is very important to control the market with strict hands to reduce the daily suffering of farmers, laborers, daily wage earners or low income people or lower middle class and even many middle class people. If the price of goods fails to reach the purchasing power of the people, all the reforms of the interim government may become questionable to the people.
Tariq Rahman said, turning the country into a fragile state dependent on imports, dependent and dependent on debt, the head of the mafia government fled the country. The people still have to bear the consequences of 15 years of misrule by the fugitive dictatorship. In such a situation, the defeat of the fugitive dictatorship in the bloody uprising of the students on August 5 has been proved once again, there is no alternative to the greater unity of the nationalist forces that believe in the religious, social and cultural values of Bangladesh in the present time to protect the freedom of the country and the people.
Referring to 7th November as Bangladesh's Enemy-Friendly Recognition Day, BNP Acting Chairman said that the spirit of 7th November is the protection of Bangladesh's independence and sovereignty. In post-independence Bangladesh, since November 7, 1975, the main mantras of the liberation war, equality, human dignity and social justice, were paved. From this day onwards, the politics of power based on nationalism in favor of Bangladesh was created.
