It is known that Kuakata Fish Market's Gharami Phis brought the fish for sale through auction on behalf of Phis Valley. Hasan bought a hilsa for 6 thousand 325 taka at the price of 1 lakh 10 thousand taka.

Local fish trader Bellal Hossain said, 'Hilsa this big is not seen often. This is the first time that such a large hilsa has been seen after the siege. A fish merchant named Hasan bought the fish for 6 thousand 325 taka. At this time, many people gathered to have a look at the fish.'

Fisherman Munsur said, 'After 22 days of siege, I went to the sea to catch fish. At this time, this big fish was caught in our net. The demand for big fish is high, the price is also good. Even now there are not many fish in the sea. But the joy of getting a big fish is much greater.'

Arat businessman Rezaul Islam said, 'Such big fish are rarely available in this market. Therefore, the fish was sold in the auction at a price of 100,000 taka. The price of the fish is 6 thousand 325 taka.

When asked about this, Kalapara Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Apu Saha said, 'This is really good news. Fish of this size mainly live in the deep sea, the depth is decreasing due to silting in the estuary, so if the estuary is dug and the width of the net is increased, this fish will be caught more.'
