On Tuesday (November 5) night, Shami Kaiser was arrested from Uttara in the capital by Uttara West and East Police Stations. The next day, the police produced Shami Kaiser in the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court of Dhaka. After that, the investigating officer of the case applied to remand him for seven days.
On the other hand, his lawyer applied for cancellation of remand and bail. On the other hand, the state opposed the bail. After the hearing of both parties, the court denied his bail and granted the remand application.
It is known that a businessman named Ishtiaq Mahmud participated in the anti-discrimination student movement on July 18.
