Jumbangla Desk: 13 students of the same school fell ill after eating girlfriend's birthday meal in Rajbari. Among them, 7 people have been admitted to Rajbari Sadar Hospital and 2 people have been admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. 4 people went home with first aid.

The incident took place in Durgapur village of Madapur union of Kalukhali upazila of Rajbari on Wednesday (November 6) at noon.

The students admitted to Rajbari Hospital are Antara Biswas (12), Preeti (12), Hiya Khatun (12), Surbhi (13) and Trisha (14). All of them are sixth grade students of Durgapur Abdul Aziz High School, Damukdia, Kalukhali Upazila. Also Sumitra, Tandra, Jaya and Nadi went home with first aid. Ankhi (12) and Rafia (13) have been referred to Faridpur as their physical condition is bad. They are also students of the same school.

It is learned that after tiffin in the afternoon, 13 students of the sixth class of Damukdia Durgapur Abdul Aziz High School went to their home on the occasion of their girlfriend Snigdha's birthday. Later there they eat hilsa-khichuri. Later they eat cakes and chocolate beans bought from Uttam Sahar shop in Gandhimara Bazaar. Then they got sick one by one after coming to school.

The sick students said that they went to their girlfriend's house after the school tiffin after being invited on the occasion of their birthday. There they eat hilsa-khichuri. Then, as there was no arrangement for cutting the cake on the birthday, the Gandhis bought a cake and chocolate beans worth 5 taka from a shop in the market. At that time, after seeing that some packets of chocobean had no expiration date, they were replaced and eaten. After that some of them started having headache and stomachache.

A parent named Neela Singh said, my daughter along with her other girlfriends went to her house today during school tiffin on the occasion of the birthday of another girlfriend named Snigdha. Meanwhile, they eat hilsa khichuri in that house. Later, when my daughter and her girlfriends all fell ill, we brought them to Sadar Hospital.

Parents of sick students said that our girls fell ill after going to a friend's house on her birthday after school tiffin. Some of them started having stomachache and some had headache. We immediately brought them to the hospital.

Jahangir, the father of another student, said that since no one got sick after eating food from that house, it is assumed that they got sick after eating food from the shop. Because the store had expired and low quality food.

Damukdia Durgapur Abdul Aziz High School social science teacher Rehana Parveen said, after tiffin, I went to the class and saw that there were no girls. On asking some people, they said that they had gone to their house on the occasion of Snigdha's birthday. Later, after coming to school, he suddenly fell ill. The girls had a meal at their relatives' house and bought cakes from the store. Now I can't say why this situation happened. 7 students of the school are admitted in Rajbari and two in Faridpur, four have gone home with first aid.

Dr. Rajbari Sadar Hospital emergency department doctor. Faria Rifat Chowdhury said that two students have been sent to Faridupar for better treatment. There are 7 people admitted in Rajbari. It is believed that they fell ill due to food poisoning.
