9 police officers were sent on compulsory retirement

Jumbangla Desk: The government has sent 9 officers of the Bangladesh Police on compulsory retirement at the same time. Among them are one Additional Superintendent of Police and 8 Assistant Superintendents of Police.

These officers were sent on compulsory retirement in 9 separate notifications of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday. According to the order of the president, the senior secretary of the public security department of the ministry. Mohammad Abdul Momen signed three declarations.


The officers sent on compulsory retirement are APBN Additional Superintendent of Police Bhuiyan Mahbub Hasan, CID Assistant Superintendent of Police Mehdi Hasan Jhantu, CID (ordered to be transferred to APBN) Md. Ziaur Rahman, SB Assistant Superintendent of Police Abu Md. Fazlul Karim, Assistant Superintendent of Police Ranjit Kumar Barua of Shilpanchal Police, Assistant Superintendent of Police Appella Raju Naha of Betbunia PSTS, Assistant Superintendent of Police of CID Md. Aktaruzzaman, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Sylhet SMP. Mizanur Rahman and Assistant Police Superintendent of Madhavpur Circle. Azizur Rahman Govt.

In nine separate notifications, members of the BCS (Police) cadre have been granted retirement in the public interest as per the provisions of Section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018). They will be entitled to retirement benefits as per rules.

Incidentally, the first posting in the police force through BCS cadre is as an ASP i.e. Assistant Superintendent of Police. An officer becomes Additional Superintendent of Police on promotion from Assistant Superintendent of Police.
