Natore schoolgirl attempted rape case. The court sentenced an old man named Abul Kashem alias Bahadur (60) to life imprisonment. At the same time he was fined 50 thousand rupees.

Judge Mohammad Abdur Rahim of District Women and Child Torture Prevention Tribunal announced the verdict on Thursday (November 7). Meanwhile, the remaining seven accused were acquitted.

The convicted Abul Kashem is the son of Moksed member of Garmati village of Baraigram upazila of Natore.

According to the statement of the case, on July 12, 2018, Abul Kashem took the girl to the shop and tried to rape her. Locals realized the matter and rescued the girl. Later, the schoolgirl's father filed a case with the Baraigram police station. After the hearing, the judge sentenced Abul Kashem to life imprisonment. and acquitted the remaining seven accused.

Abdul Quader Mia, Public Prosecutor of Natore District and Sessions Judge's Court, said that the judge of the court gave this sentence to Abul Kashem alias Bahadur after taking the evidence of the case for about 6 and a half years. The judgment asked the child's family to pay the fine.
