The expatriate's wife complained that after several rounds of financial transactions, ASI Mubin offered her a night stay at a residential hotel in Cox's Bazar. The victim woman filed a written complaint on Wednesday night.

It is mentioned in the complaint that on October 16, a group of miscreants vandalized the fence and houses of the land owned by the expatriate's wife. The expatriate's family called 999 to seek police assistance. ASI Mubin of Baharchhara Police Investigation Center went to the spot and took Tk 12,000 to settle the matter. Then on October 18, he called from various mobile numbers and offered to meet at a hotel in Cox's Bazar with the assurance of a fair trial. As he did not agree to the proposal, he was making immoral proposals by calling at regular intervals.

It is further mentioned in the complaint that ASI Mubin demanded Tk 25 thousand when he went to the outpost on October 20. The victim was forced to pay 15 thousand rupees. Called her repeatedly for the remaining amount and made immoral proposals.


When asked about the complaint, ASI Mubin claimed that he had no conversation with the expatriate's wife. However, it is said that the victim woman has mobile phone messages and other evidence.

Teknaf Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Ghiyas Uddin said that after receiving the complaint, the matter is being investigated and if the complaint is proved, appropriate action will be taken against ASI Mubin.
