Giving a bath to the deceased is an obligatory kifaya. Some say it is obligatory. Only those who are proficient in bathing should bathe the deceased.
The proper way to bathe the deceased is given below:
1. The dead person has to lie on the bath cot while bathing. Then remove the clothes and keep a cloth from the navel to the knees if it is male.
2. Elevate the dead person's head almost like sitting down and gently press the dead person's abdomen and pour more water to remove dirt.
3. Twisting a wolf on the hands of the bather or wearing hand socks.
4. After making the intention of bathing, first perform ablution on the dead person like the ablution of prayer. However, water should not be introduced into the mouth and nose. Instead of entering the nose and mouth with wet fingers.
5. It is necessary to touch the mouth and nose with water in the obligatory state of ghusl and in case of death after menstruation and childbirth.
6. Cleaning the gums with cotton.
7. Then wash the dead person's head and beard first with lukewarm water mixed with kul (barai) leaves and soap.
8. Then wash the right side from the neck to the feet and place it on the left side and wash the right part of the back.
9. Similarly take the right side to wash the left side also.
10. Wash like this three times. If there is still dirt, then wash the garment until the dirt is clean.
11. Pouring water on the whole body by mixing camphor, perfume with the water of the last bath.
12. If the dead man's tusks or nails are too long, cut them off. (However, there is disagreement about this)
13. Wipe the water from the body of the deceased with a clean cloth.
14. If the deceased is a woman, the hair should be tied back in three braids.
15. If dirt comes out of the body after bathing the deceased, wash the exit and cover it with cotton. In this case, someone said, there is no need to repeat ablution and bath. Others said that ablution should be performed. But ablution is better.
