Tehran-based Mehr News Agency reported on Thursday (Nov 7) that Netanyahu cited a "crisis of trust" behind Galant's dismissal, which has strained their relationship.

Meanwhile, former Israeli Defense Minister Gallant cited disagreements on three issues as the reason for his removal. One of which is - he said to give 'painful but tolerable concessions' to bring back the prisoners.

However, warlord Netanyahu and his illegal cabinet did not agree with him.

In this situation, a section of the Israeli people strongly demanded that the new defense minister should give priority to the release of prisoners.

It should be noted that Netanyahu and Gallant have long had a heated relationship over the war policy in Gaza. Netanyahu fired Gallant over political differences months before the Gaza war began. However, he was forced to reinstate him in the face of public protests.

In a statement on Tuesday, Netanyahu said, "It is very important to have complete trust between the Prime Minister and the Minister of War during the war."
