Babar Azam is one of the best cricketers of Pakistan. He has taken himself to a unique height by performing consistently in international cricket.
But recently Babar Azam is not in form. Due to which Pakistan lost the leadership of the national team. Dropped from Test team, kept in ODI team but did not regain form.
Australian legendary cricketer Ricky Ponting advised Babar to follow Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli to get back in shape.
Ponting said in the ICC review, the biggest challenge is how Babar Azam will return to the team. They now have to figure out how Babar will return to form and return to the team.
Australian legend Ponting also said, 'When you look at Babar's records, statistics, we can give the example of Virat Kohli. He took a break from cricket and later came back and performed brilliantly. I think Babar should do the same. One should take a break from cricket for a while and think about something else and come back fresh later. Hopefully he will bounce back in a big way and be back to his former form again.'
Ponting also said, 'Pakistan Cricket Board is changing captains, sometimes Shaheen Shah Afrid, sometimes Mohammad Rizwan, sometimes Babar Azam. A lot is changing. You definitely don't want this instability. I think they're looking for the right thing that's making a difference until it gets results or works.'
