Amir of Gaibandha District Jamaat took oath

Abdul Karim Sarkar has been sworn in again as the Ameer of Gaibandha District Jamaat for the term 2025-26. Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal, a member of the central working council of Jamaat, took the oath as the chief guest at the members conference on Wednesday afternoon.

Rangpur-Dinajpur region team member and former Nilphamari District Amir Maulana Abdur Rashid spoke as a special guest on the occasion. Gaibandha Darul Aman Trust member conference held on the occasion of taking oath was attended by - District Jamaat Naib Ameer and Central Team Member (Rangpur Dinajpur Region), Bir Mukti Joddha Maulana Abdur Wares Pradhan, Majedur Rahman Majed, District Secretary Maulana Zahurul Haque and others.

On October 24, the central organization of the Jamaat announced the names of district and metropolitan emirs for the term of 2025-26. Earlier, the Rukons of this district exercised their right to vote formally in a member conference.

After taking oath, District Jamaat Amir Abdul Karim said, "It is a big responsibility." There is no opportunity for the workers of the Islamic movement to avoid this responsibility. He requested the prayers and cooperation of the Rukons to fulfill their duties properly. Later, voting of Shura members was held in Gaibandha District Majlis.
