Jatiya Party and People's Rights Council have called for a rally on the same day in Rangpur on Friday. Suddenly there is a lot of discussion-criticism around the alternate programs of the two parties. The residents of the city are afraid that unpleasant incidents may happen between the two sides on this day. However, the responsible leaders of the Jatiya Party and the People's Rights Council say that they will hold the program peacefully.
But informed city dwellers say, everyone has a democratic right to do politics. But it must be peaceful. They wanted the strict intervention of the administration to resolve the tense situation that has arisen around Friday's rally.
It is known that the public rights council will hold a departmental meeting on Friday afternoon in Rangpur district school grounds. People's Rights Council president and former VP Nurul Haque Noor and general secretary Rashed Khan will be present at various levels of the party. For this reason, on behalf of the party, exchange meetings, greeting processions, banners, posters, festoons are being strung and miking in the districts and upazilas of the city, including cities.
On the other hand, in the afternoon of the same day, the leaders of the metropolis and the district have announced that the workers will hold a rally and sit-in program in front of the party office of the Jatiya Party on the central road of the city. Co-chairman of the party, former city mayor and president of metropolitan committee Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa, presidium member and general secretary of metropolitan committee SM Yasir, district member secretary and central joint secretary general Abdur Razzak, metropolitan and district leaders will participate there.
A source of the party said that Rangpur is the base of the party. There are many soldiers and fans of Ershad here. That is why ordinary people will participate with them outside the party leaders and workers. Extensive preparations are being made by the party to make the rally a success. Don't care what any other team did.
It is known that on October 31, the central office in the capital was attacked, vandalized and set on fire, and the public rights council announced the rally program in front of the Jatiya Party office across the country. Jatiya Party held a stick march and protest rally in Rangpur last Saturday.
In the protest rally, Jatiya Party Co-Chairman and Rangpur Metropolitan President Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa said that VP Noor's People's Rights Council has called for a protest rally in front of the Jatiya Party office in the entire country. We don't count the Israel-funded Human Rights Council; But we are ready to prevent all conspiracies against Jatiya Party.
Former City Mayor Mustafa also said that a group is threatening to destroy Jatiya Party by using VP Noor, coordinator Sarjis Alam and Hasnat Abdullah. I want to warn others including VP Noor that we will meet on the streets, slogans will be raised on the streets, blood will be shed on the streets, processions will be held on the streets, we are ready and will be to sustain Hussain Muhammad Ershad's Jatiya Party.
Even before this, Jatiya Party leaders and activists held a protest march and rally for two consecutive days. At this time, the party leaders announced to resist all conspiracies on the streets. In continuation of this, the Jatiya Party is trying to occupy the field by carrying out stick marches and protest rallies.
Then last Sunday, in a press conference at the party office in City Bazar of Rangpur city, the president of the People's Rights Parishad gave a 24-hour ultimatum to the leaders of the Jatiya Party to withdraw the ugly and slanderous statements about the former VP Nurul Haque Noor of Daksu and to apologize unconditionally. Hanif Khan is alive. Along with that, if the statement is not retracted along with an apology, a mass revolution and legal action against the Jatiya Party across the country, including Rangpur, is warned.
Meanwhile, Jatiya Party leaders and activists started campaigning in the field to make Friday's program a success. Apart from miking across the city, party leaders are coordinating with workers and supporters from ward to ward.
On the other hand, the People's Rights Council is not sitting either. The group is doing various campaigns including posters, miking and festoons.
All of a sudden, tension has been created in Rangpur's political arena with the announcement of such alternate rally programs by both the parties. Extensive discussion and criticism is going on. Many people fear that unpleasant incidents may happen between the two sides on this day. They sought the immediate intervention of the administration.
In this regard, Presidium member of Jatiya Party and General Secretary of Rangpur Metropolitan Committee SM Yasir said that the joint workers rally of Jatiya Party Rangpur Metropolitan and district will be held in front of the party office on Friday at 3 pm. Apart from Rangpur city and district leaders, leaders of 33 wards and eight upazilas of the city will be present in the rally. Besides, instructions have been given to the leaders, workers and supporters of all party organs and affiliated organizations to attend.
Co-Chairman of Jatiya Party, President of Rangpur Metropolitan Committee and former City Mayor Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa said that on Friday we will hold a joint workers rally in front of the party office. After that, I will perform the position program.
Regarding the meeting of the People's Rights Council, Mustafa said, "Who did what and where, it is not our concern." We will carry out our program. Party leaders and workers have been instructed for this.
On the other hand, the leaders of the People's Rights Council say that Jatiya Party leaders, who are known as allies of fascism, held a protest march in Rangpur. Where the former VP of Daksu, one of the architects of the fall of fascism, the President of the Public Rights Council Nurul Haque Noor and the People's Rights Council were given speeches with very bad language and sarcastic slogans. The People's Rights Council strongly condemned and protested against such uncivilized behavior and heinous activities of Jatiya Party leaders and activists of fascist Hasina's illegitimate power. The leaders of the party also warned that there will be no place in the politics of Hasina's fascists and his associates who committed mass murder on the ground of Rangpur, the blood bath of martyr Abu Saeed of the July Revolution.
Meanwhile, Hanif Khan Sajib, a member of the higher council of the People's Rights Council and in charge of Rangpur, said that the People's Rights Council is a peaceful party. Campaigning continues, postering is done. Banner-festoons have been put up in various places of the division including Rangpur. The party leaders and workers are very excited about the preparations for the divisional assembly. At the moment we are not thinking about the National Party. We want to carry out the program peacefully.
