In this incident, SI Mizanur Rahman of Kotwali police station filed a case against 500-600 other unknown people including the names of 49 people. The case was filed under the Acid Suppression Act alleging obstruction of police work and assault.


In this incident, 82 people were arrested from the scene. Later 33 people were released on bail. Another 49 people were sent to prison through the court.
