The People's Rights Council has proposed the names of the election commissioners. General Secretary of Public Rights Council on Thursday. A delegation of 6 members led by Rashed Khan submitted this list to the cabinet department.

At that time Rashed Khan, general secretary of the People's Rights Council, said that this year's election commission should be of international standards. The election must be the best election in the history of the world. No one who is involved in party politics or who has done student politics in the past or who is a beneficiary of Awami can be appointed.

He said, we do not want such a Bangladesh, where we have to sacrifice our lives again and again for democracy. This time also last blood and life donation. Democracy must be practiced from now on. The Election Commission should be completely independent. The Election Commission will not be loyal to any party.

Rashed Khan said that university teachers are not made election commissioners. We are proposing to make at least one teacher the election commissioner. The names which are common among the groups should be given importance. It should not be the case that a group or group has given a list or a commission has been constituted with pre-determined persons. But we will not accept it. We want a transparent and accountable Election Commission.
