Putin spoke publicly about Trump after his victory at an event in the Russian city of Sochi on Thursday (November 7). Reuters news.
Earlier, he was injured when Trump was attacked in Pennsylvania, USA, at an election rally last July. Putin praised Trump in that incident, calling him a 'true man'.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday that Russia is carefully monitoring the US presidential election data. There is no possibility of formal evaluation until 'specific statements and initiatives' are seen. However, Putin congratulated Trump a day later.
"In my opinion, he behaved in a very correct way, courageously, like a real man," the Russian president said that day. I take this opportunity to congratulate him for winning the election. Trump's comments on Ukraine during the US presidential election campaign and his statement on restoring relations with Russia are important.
Incidentally, during the election campaign, Trump said that if elected president, he would return peace to Ukraine within 24 hours. But he did not elaborate on how he would end Europe's longest war since World War II. In this regard, the 72-year-old Putin said with a warning, 'I don't know what is happening now. I have no idea about this.'
