Jumbangla Desk: Two children were killed by a bus while riding their father's CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Comilla on their way to visit their grandmother's house. The accident took place in Chagura of Debidwar upazila on the Comilla-Sylhet regional highway on Thursday (November 7) night. After this incident, the angry crowd vandalized five cars at the spot.

The two deceased brothers and sisters are sons of CNG autorickshaw driver Jahangir Alam of Hossainpur village of Debidwar upazila. Junaid (12) and daughter Fahima Akhter (9).

Junayed was a student of Hefz department of a madrasa in Jafarganj area and his sister Fahima Hossainpur was a student of Noorani madrasa. In this accident, father of the deceased Jahangir Alam (32) and two others were injured.

It is known that on Thursday afternoon the two children earnestly asked their father to bring them to their grandmother's house. After driving a CNG autorickshaw all day, Jahangir went to their maternal grandmother's house at night. Meanwhile, a CNG-driven autorickshaw collided with a Sugandha Paribahan bus bound for Comilla in Debidwar Upazila Chagura area of ​​the Comilla-Sylhet regional highway.

Onlookers said a bus overtaking the truck hit the CNG. CNGT fell off the road. Junaid died on the spot. Fahima also died on the way to the hospital.
