The Bangladesh-Afghanistan ODI series will be held in the city of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. Etisalat, the country's mobile phone service company, is the title sponsor in this series of three matches.
The series is named, 'Etisalat Afghanistan-Bangladesh Series 2024 Powered by Walton.'
Walton has been sponsoring all kinds of sports including cricket in Bangladesh for a long time. This sports-friendly organization has been sponsoring domestic, national and international cricket in the country for more than a decade.
Wherever the Bangladesh national cricket team is going to play outside the country, Walton stays there. It didn't change much. The main objective of the organization is to energize the Bangladesh national team and promote sports.
Walton was also involved in Bangladesh's last India series on foreign soil. In continuation of that, the organization has maintained sponsorship in the Afghanistan series.
About the sponsorship, Walton's Additional Executive Director Rabiul Islam Milton said, 'Walton is a sports-friendly organization. Like other sports, cricket is also regularly working as a sponsor. Walton has always given priority to sports in order to build a drug free society. In that vein, this series is also sponsored. Walton will maintain patronage in the future.'
The series will start from November 6 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, a historic ground in the desert nation of the Emirates. The remaining two matches of the series will be played on November 9 and 11 respectively. Each match of this day-night series will start at 4 pm Bangladesh time.
