Two brothers died after drowning in Comilla. The incident took place in Shaldhar area of ​​Adarsh ​​Sadar Upazila of the district on Thursday. The two dead children are cousins. The deceased Md. Samiul (4) is the son of Mofiz Mia of Shaldhar area and Md. Omar (5) son of Majid Mia.

According to local sources, Mofiz and Majid Mia are brothers. Samiul and Omar are close in age. They used to play sports together. On Thursday morning, the two were playing on the pond near the house. At some point during the sport, both of them fell into the water and drowned. Meanwhile, after not finding the two for a long time, the people of the house saw two children floating in the pond. Their bodies were recovered in the afternoon.

Kotyali Model Police Station OC Mohinul Islam said that two children died due to drowning. Locals informed the police after recovering their bodies. Police went to the spot and collected information.
